You're in good hands:
Process
We were commissioned by Sony Music + Their Director of Photography Sophie to create a Typography Text for Cristale's song named Rodents and the performance visual for her music video ANTI SOCIAL at the MOBO Awards UK 2024 – Styling her as a lone wolf due to her theme of being anti-social. She looked gorgeous and confident but indicated her ability to endure.
In view of this, Rodents is her best music video which has
received 2.7 million views on YouTube alone.
Who is Cristale?
Cristale is one of the new thrilling voices in the UK Drill and Rap scene popularized by her raw talent in acting where she featured in one of the UK's biggest Netflix hits, Top Boy Season 3 while she impacts her fans lyrically throughout the UK with each release.
Graffiti Vibes for "Rodents"
Another project that we worked on with her was one of Cristale’s singles, titled ‘Rodents’.
Our team had fun creating a graffiti-style typography for the cover artwork and paired it up with the wall where the photoshoot took place, for an authentic and street-smart approach: as if it were spray-painted in real life.
The graffiti and her presence stand out boldly because she is the center figure, just like the title of the track. The essence of the single translates visually through the rowdy presence of both the graffiti and her pose. The cover of ‘Rodents’ by Cristale.
ANTISOCIAL
Her unique sound and fearless modest approach have gotten her noticed - not only on set but also by her entire community that she calls home. During the 2024 MOBO Awards she kept the audience enjoying her enthralling performance of her latest single, “Antisocial.”
For the MOBO Awards, we created these visuals in A.I including the motion and lightning.
Our participation in the event was integral to giving life to her artistic work that featured visuals that were in sync with her musical composition. Let’s dive deeper into this.
Embrace the A.I Design Process
We’re bracing ourselves for an influx of AI design processes. And so we will do more experimenting to try to learn the creative potential of AI. It may well lead to more original imagery. At the very least, it would be more time-efficient.
But really, it’s about developing skills with this new tool. And it’s about driving your business to keep up, always one step ahead. It’s the future of creative work. One day, your competitors will have used it, and you and your team will fall behind in pace, talent, and creativity.
You don’t want to register on customers' or clients' visual radar as outdated.
Thank you to Sophie, Cam, Ernest, Ejiro,
Cristale and Sony Music
